Ann is addicted to story. She is fascinated by the stories we tell ourselves, those we tell other people, and the ambiguous gaps in between.
As a child she was sure everyone else knew what was really happening, and that she was playing catch up. After reading her way through the local children’s library, she resorted to her dad’s books instead and became hooked on crime fiction. She's still not sure what's going on, but at least she knows she's not the only one.
There have been a few detours on the journey from the Brownie Writer’s Badge to writing a novel. She's been a receptionist on A&E, a cleaning lady, a rent collector, a software tester and a company director – but at last she's found her way home.
A Savage Art is her first novel.
